Peter Scott, a Master Plumber, and his wife Grace built this company to reflect the values their family holds dear. Grace’s father moved to the U.S. from England in the 1980s, seeking opportunity during a tough time. Inspired by his story, Peter went from a career in juvenille corrections, to plumbing, and years later, Grace and Peter opened Excel Plumbing and Heating—driven by a desire to serve others and create a legacy for their growing family.
Today, Peter and Grace live in the heart of Minnesota’s Iron Range, where they’re raising their children and solving the plumbing and heating challenges of their neighbors and community.

Peter was born in Hibbing, MN. He graduated from our Local Plumber and Pipefitter’s Apprenticeship program. He loves to find solutions for our customers needs and to provide quality work for them! In his spare time you will find him enjoying time with his family, working on projects, and playing pickleball.
Garrett was born in Hibbing, MN and graduated from East Range Academy in 2012. He loves being able to fix, repair, and install all the comforts a customer needs. He said “Making them comfortable is the best!” In his spare time, you will find him hanging out with his wife, fishing and snowmobiling.
